AUBURN, Ala.- International soccer is coming to Auburn on June 9 as Argentina and Iceland meet for a friendly match at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Fans attending the event are encouraged to review important matchday information, including downtown parking information, entertainment district details, and post-match traffic patterns, ahead of kickoff.

Matchday parking available in Wright Street Parking Deck

The City of Auburn will offer game day parking in the Wright Street Parking Deck (140 Wright St.) for a flat rate of $40 on June 9 for the Argentina vs Iceland soccer match. No parking in downtown Auburn is available to be reserved or purchased in advance. All spots are available for public parking only on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those parking in the Wright Street Parking Deck can pay for parking at the walk-up kiosks inside the deck, online via the ParkMobile app or at the garage exit gate.

On all other days, parking rates in the Wright Street Parking Deck will remain $1 per hour for up to $15 for a 24-hour period. Find more information about downtown parking at auburnalabama.org/downtown-parking.

Downtown entertainment district

Downtown Auburn will have an entertainment district in effect on June 9 from 3-8 p.m. Within the entertainment district, individuals 21 and older may carry alcoholic beverages purchased from participating downtown establishments within the approved entertainment district boundaries.

The district includes the area south of East Glenn Avenue, west of North Gay Street, north of East Thach Avenue and West Magnolia Avenue, and east of Wright Street.

Patrons may not enter the district with alcohol acquired outside of the district and may not leave licensed premises with glass containers. All beverages sold for consumption outside of the licensed premises must be in aluminum or shatter-resistant containers like plastic cups.
